Perleux

Perleux is a BDDF-free stabilized injectable hyaluronic acid (HA) based product for restoring moisture (moisturizing), freshness, skin color and treating skin laxity. It is also used to improve skin tone, texture, hydration and overall radiance. It can help to increase firmness and elasticity and promote softer-looking skin. Perleux is mostly used for facial areas, but can also be used for rejuvenating the neck, decollete, arms, knees, and hands. It is not only hydrates skin, but also remodels aging and fixes sagging tissue.

Product Information

The main component of Perleux is Hyaluronic Acid (HA), which is naturally present in the human body that hydrates the tissue. This component has changed this product into a great one that remodels aging through hydrating skin and tissue. However, it is particularly indicated for the treatment of the malar-zygomatic areas. Package including 2 pre-filled syringes (32 mg (H-HA) +32 mg (L-HA) of hyaluronic acid )with 4 needles 30G x ½”, The pre-filled syringes are sterilized by moist heat. Needles sterilized with ethylene oxide.

Perleux® Body

Perleux® Body is indicated for the treatment of different parts of the body specifically for the abdomen, upper arms, inner thighs and areas affected by sagging skin. Each package of Perleux® Body contains a 3ml pre-filled syringe (48mg (High-HA) + 48mg (Low-HA) of Hyaluronic acid sodium salt), one 30G×1/2’’ sterile disposable needle, a leaflet and a set of tracking labels. The content of the Perleux® Body syringe is sterilized by moist heat. The 30G×1/2’’ needle is sterilized by radiation.

Hybrid Technology

This technology delivers high doses of hyaluronic acid and improves the viscous and elastic properties of the formulation and its resistance to degradation.

FAQ

What is Perleux®?

Perleux® is a BDDE-free stabilized injectable Hyaluronic Acid (HA)-based product that offers a dual action due to its composition; it provides hydration, plumper and fresher skin. The high molecular weight HA and low molecular weight HA chains interact with each other and are obtained through a biofermentation process without chemical modification.

How is the mechanism of action of Perleux®?

Hyaluronic acid in Perleux® is a polysaccharide which its primary function is maintaining the correct tissue hydration, thanks to its intrinsic capacity to bind large amounts of water. The viscoelastic and hydrating properties of HA, combined with the ability to maintain adequate levels of water in the cutaneous tissues, rehydrate the skin. HA also plays a role inside the extracellular matrix, creating the physiological conditions for the proliferation, migration, and organization of the dermal cellular components. Therefore, hyaluronic acid increases collagen production as well. Moreover, Perleux® injection allows an optimal quantity of HA to be brought directly to the tissue being treated in order to counteract the cytotoxic action of free radicals on the fibroblasts and the adipose compartments below.

What are the ingredients of Perleux®?

Perleux® consists of: 16 mg (H-HA) + 16 mg (L-HA)/ 1 mL physiological buffer solution

What are the indications of Perleux®?

Perleux® is indicated for facial rejuvenation. It is particularly indicated for the treatment of the malar-zygomatic and submalar areas. Perleux® acts through a corrective action of natural and induced cutaneous depressions which intervenes:

  • In the physiological process of skin aging, the effects which include reduced skin hydration, the alteration of elastic fibers and collagen of the dermis, with loss of turgor and skin tone.
  • In the dermal tissue repair process, in case of scars resulting from superficial cutaneous trauma (e.g., acne and chickenpox scars).

How Perleux® should be administered?

For a global treatment of the malar and sub-malar areas, it is recommended to identify 5 points on each side (Bio aesthetic points) for intradermal administration of Perleux®:

  1. Zygomatic protrusion
  2. Nasal base
  3. Tragus
  4. Chin
  5. Mandibular angle

Inject 0.2 mL of product with the bolus technique in the deep dermal/subcutaneous layers. An initial cycle of two treatment sessions at 30 days intervals is recommended, followed, if necessary, by maintenance treatments every 2 months. However, it is suggested to evaluate the specific protocol according to patients’ degree of aging.

What does the packaging of Perleux® contain?

Two pre-filled syringes with 2 needles (30G x ½”); each syringe contains the following volume:

16 mg (H-HA) + 16 mg (L-HA) of hyaluronic acid sodium salt

What are the advantages of Perleux®?

  • The slow release of L-HA from the HA hybrid complexes does not trigger the first inflammatory cytokines, making it very biocompatible.
  • H-HA in Perleux® provides a stable HA architecture in the dermis. It gives a lifting effect.
  • Increase the expression levels of type I and type III collagen in fibroblasts and type IV and VII collagen in keratinocytes.
  • Skin quality and hydration are both improved in the dermis and epidermis.
  • Increased production of endogenous HA and elastin gives the skin a more youthful look.

How is the storage condition of Perleux®?

  • Store the product at 2-25°C.
  • The content is fragile.
  • Shelf life is 2 years, correctly preserved.

What is the important safety information about Perleux®?

  • The point of injection must be on healthy skin.
  • Do not inject into inflamed areas.
  • Avoid injection into areas with a permanent implant.
  • Do not inject intravenously into muscles, tendons or for mammary augmentation.
  • Avoid injection into the upper eyelids.
  • It is not recommended for patients with acute rheumatic fever.
  • It is not recommended for patients with an allergic complication and anaphylactic shock.
  • Avoid using Perleux® for patients with untreated epilepsy, patients prone to hypertrophic ulcers, patients with a history of sensitivity to hyaluronic acid and/or proteins in gram-positive bacteria (streptococci), and patients with porphyria.
  • Avoid injecting Perleux® in pregnant or lactating women.
  • Avoid injecting Perleux® in children.
  • It must not be used in concurrence with treatments such as laser resurfacing and medium-deep skin peeling.
  • Inform the patients to avoid ultraviolet exposure (protect the treated area with total sun-block creams), exposure to very low/very high temperatures, sauna, and hot bath within two weeks after the injection.
  • Inform the patients to avoid any makeup for 12 hours after the injection.
  • Inform the patients to avoid aspirin, NSAIDs, anticoagulants, platelet aggregation inhibitors, and any substance that prolongs blood clots, such as herbal supplements containing garlic or maidenhair, etc., one week before injection.
