Avenile^®

Avenile^® is a sterile, isotonic, non-pyrogenic viscoelastic solution of highly purified 2% hydroxypropylmethylcellulose (HPMC). Avenile^® is supplied in a 2 mL syringe. Each mL provides 20 mg of HPMC. Avenile^® is indicated for use as an ophthalmic surgical aid in anterior segment surgical procedures, including cataract extraction and intraocular lens implantation. Avenile^® maintains a deep chamber during anterior segment surgery, thereby allowing for more efficient manipulation with less trauma to the corneal endothelium and other ocular tissues.
